My postgraduate career began with a move in 2015 from Chicago to Santa Cruz, CA, where initially I interned in private practice and worked part-time in San Jose City College's counseling office. From 2016 to 2021, I served as the mental health counselor at the Georgiana Bruce Kirby Preparatory School to whom I owe my love of adolescents and young adults. Educational settings are exciting because they are crucibles of development--individual minds striving to find themselves and their path through the world as well as communities trying to reconcile their ideals with their injustices. My professional edge is here--helping to equip young people with the psychological and emotional resources to live courageous lives in the many forms courage is required of us. In my practice, I serve primarily clients with attachment (aka interpersonal) trauma--esp. queer and neurodivergent persons as well as adult children of addicts. I offer both individual and group therapy. In June of 2021, I moved with my partner to Tacoma, WA, where I see both California and Washington clients via telehealth.
