We will work together to discover your strengths and learn new coping strategies. I utilize various therapeutic approaches, based on the needs of each person. My goal is to help people escape the loop of distorted negative thinking and become more confident and resourceful. Let’s move you toward positive emotional health. Let’s explore how past life circumstances have and are affecting you from living your best life. The beginning of any new relationship can bring apprehension. For every client who comes to see me I try to create an atmosphere of openness, trust and a sense of togetherness. Life is hard and the ability to seek help is a great strength. I have years of practical experience and use ACT, CBT, DBT, and MI as my theoretical orientation as well as the 12 step program. I also work with the family to increase their understanding of substance abuse and mental health issues, by developing coping tools and ways to increase communication, and decrease conflict.
