Why am I acting this way? Why am I like this? Can I feel better? I understand how painful and disconcerting feeling this way can be. And yet, I believe you deserve to truly know, accept, appreciate and love all of you. Allow me to guide and support you in your therapeutic journey, and you will learn the skills to understand your past, face your present with more confidence, and ultimately look forward to enjoying your future. Self-discovery and healing are essential to leading a fulfilled life and they are a long-term investment in you and your loved ones. As an IFS Therapist, I use primarily the Internal Family Systems framework which is non-pathologizing and able to honor your uniqueness. Other theories that inform my practice are Attachment Theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) but ultimately your needs drive my interventions. We will work together as you rediscover yourself, work through family of origin dynamics and trauma, understand relationship patterns, and develop a healthier narrative. You will always feel seen and supported, and it is my goal that at the end of each session you leave feeling better, having a new insight or having gained a new tool. Whether you come as an individual, as a couple or bring your child, this will be a safe space to work towards your best self. As a clinical social worker and therapist with over 20 years of experience, I have worked with many who successfully learned to manage their anxiety and depression, transformed their pain and trauma, and live life with more joy and hope in their hearts. I am committed to the idea that All Minds Count, and I welcome multiculturalism. My approach is supportive, non-judgmental, goal-oriented and trauma informed. I will meet you where you are and work with you to go where you want to be. Pick up the phone or email me and let's start your better life. It is time!
