Introduction

I am Dr. Franziska Reff and I work with clients of all ages at my psychotherapy practice in Atwater Village, Los Angeles, California.  I believe that therapy can guide you in finding peace and joy in your family and personal life. For over ten years, I have been worked effectively to help children, parents, and families with concerns related to anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, parenting, relationship conflict, divorce, post-partum adjustment and family planning. I am passionate about supporting clients through the challenges of starting a family, welcoming a new child and raising them. As a member of the LBGTQ+ community, I am also familiar with unique challenges individual families may face, including same sex couples, transgender parents and single parents. Parenting is hard, but it can also be a truly fulfilling and transformative experience – with the right help and tools. Whatever is keeping you from being the type of parents, couples, families and people you want to be, together we can work through it! Drawing from psychodynamic and humanistic theories, I offer individual treatment for all ages. In couples and family therapy, I utilize an EFT. My work is further informed by expertise in play therapy, parenting education, early childhood development, and attachment theory. I am dedicated to providing BIPOC, LGBTQ+ and neurodivergence affirming care.
