Psychotherapy doesn’t have to be boring or feel like work. My goal as a therapist is to have a great conversation with you and try and help make the hard work seem less difficult, feel less painful, and even sometimes make it enjoyable. I view it as my responsibility to use my empathy, experience, personality, and even sense of humor as tools to help you make your breakthroughs in therapy. No matter how qualified a therapist is, if you don’t feel comfortable with them, you may not get the most of your time and energy spent in therapy. I engage my clients from the very beginning, acting as a partner on your path forward. I offer a conversational, friendly style that blends approaches depending upon on your individual needs. I also offer busy people high-feedback sessions if they seek a more direct approach.
