Introduction

I am a licensed clinical social worker experienced with helping adults create positive, meaningful difference in their lives. I work with high-functioning adults (19-64) who are having difficulty managing anxiety, depression, stress, and the lasting impact of childhood emotional neglect. My clients see their struggles in daily life in the form of problems with concentration and focus, low self-esteem, perfectionism, people pleasing and overcommitting, compulsive behavior, alcohol and substance misuse, gambling, communication problems, feelings of being without aim or purpose, and relationship conflict. I use a cognitive behavioral approach to guide clients in identifying the feelings, thoughts, beliefs, and motivations that keep them stuck, and work with them to develop and hone strategies and tools for formulating more satisfying and productive responses to life's stressors. Clients find my approach warm, empathic, and direct, with a sense of humor and appreciation for life's imperfection. I hold a master’s degree in clinical social work from New York University, with certifications in advanced work with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT); and Community Reinforcement and Family Training (CRAFT).
