Introduction

Like many of my clients, I have been in similar shoes, seeking support when I felt stuck. Using a trauma-informed perspective that focuses on creating an environment of safety, I work with approaches that address both brain and body to bring hope and healing. My passions include working with individuals with relational wounding and complex trauma. Working collaboratively with clients to bring about meaningful change, I use a combination of insight and skills training. I believe our past experiences influence who we are in the present. When we haven’t had experiences of consistent care, nurturing, and comfort from our caregivers it can result in developmental challenges that fundamentally change who we are and how we relate to ourselves, others, and the world. I help my clients develop needed insight and coping skills to shift from being wired for protection to being wired for connection. My goal is to help you get immediate relief and dig deep to heal long-standing wounds if needed. Through the safe and supportive process of therapy, we can work with the emotional difficulties and fixed patterns that are creating distress today. You can learn new ways to get your emotional needs met as well as skills that support emotional regulation and effective communication in relationships.
