Emily Scialabba, MS, LPC, Owner Emily has been working in the Pittsburgh mental health field for the past nine years. Over the course of her career, Emily has worked with children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples in a variety of different settings. Her extensive experience in the field has allowed her to develop a deep understanding of the unique challenges that individuals and families face when dealing with mental health issues. While Emily no longer sees clients in a clinical capacity, she has found fulfillment in her work as a leader and administrator at Fortified Souls. She received her Masters Degree in Counseling from Geneva College and her Bachelors Degree in Clinical Psychology from Robert Morris University. Emily has a background in working with children, adolescents, and adults in a residential, inpatient hospital, and community setting. Treatment modalities that Emily often utilizes but are not limited to: Person-Centered, CBT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing. She believes in creating a safe and supportive space for clients to explore their unique experience, and works collaboratively to support clients identify goals and navigate challenges. As a therapist, she has worked with individuals from diverse backgrounds and with a wide range of concerns. She is passionate about helping people work through difficult emotions, process traumatic experiences, and develop coping skills that help support a more meaningful life. She takes a compassionate and person-centered approach, drawing on a range of therapeutic techniques including Existential Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Jess specializes in adults of all genders with mood, anxiety, and personality disorders, life transitions, psychosis, and crisis counseling. ______________________________________________________________________________________________ Jaymie Snider, MA Jaymie Snider is a Pre-Licensed Counselor who has been working in the field for four years. Jaymie received her Bachelor of Psychology degree from Alderson Broaddus University and her Master of Clinical Mental Health Counseling degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Jaymie has additional certifications from Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic, including co-occurring disorders/diagnosis, parenting children with diagnosis, and trauma/trauma informed care. Jaymie’s background includes family and individual therapy with youth and adolescents. Treatment modalities she uses include humanistic, person-centered and strength based approaches. Jaymie specializes in wellness and grounding approaches, ADHD, anger management and family work. Youth and adolescent specific, Jaymie specializes in building self-esteem and confidence, behavioral changes, school issues/needs and building age appropriate coping skills.
