Through psychoeducation and psychotherapy, I am able to provide an understanding of how trauma impacts the biological and physiological aspects of the body. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I am able to destigmatize this population to make positive changes in their lives for a better future by utilizing a trauma-informed systemic approach to help others. It was in 2011 that I began to gain a deeper understanding of psychology, which then evolved in greater detail during my graduate program at Loma Linda University. By considering trauma through a systemic lens, I was better able to understand it by understanding the historical events that led to the development of disorders. I am committed to assisting my patients and clients in gaining the tools they need to thrive, and I will do whatever I can to help them. In my therapy practice, I use a person-centered approach to enable the client to connect with me as a human being. Through Bowenian therapy, I and my clients are able to recognize patterns that are followed unbeknownst to them. In the process of revealing patterns through the client's work, CBT and DBT can help with natural cognitive processes that impede the client's day-to-day functioning, which can provide a deeper understanding of the patient's core values by providing perspective from these unknown core values. As a psychotherapist, I have developed expertise and enthusiasm for the trauma population by working with clients therapeutically whether with children through my experience of working with two school districts including Chaffey Joint Union High School district and Moreno Valley High School district. Additionally, I have experience working with cases involving severe trauma, addictions, family conflict, depression, anxiety, and other mood disorders. Working with the crisis intervention team at SAC Health gave me experience in crisis intervention as I worked alongside doctors and psychiatrists to provide the client's experience with medication management, which enables us to develop primary concerns together with primary care providers and psychiatrists. This experience has prepared me to provide comprehensive care to those in need. I am confident that I can use my knowledge and skills to help clients manage their physical and mental health.
