Life experiences not processed in a healthy manner can become traumatic and have depilating affects. My mission embraces and encourages individuals to express, liberate and explore. Through engaging in these 3 actions, individuals are given the opportunity to reflect on who they were, are and would like to be-and how to accomplish this. Therapeutic techniques used include EMDR, systems theory and person centered approach. EMDR focuses on reprocessing the storage of traumatic memories in the brain decreasing emotional distress. Through incorporating systems theory, it acknowledges there are endless environments you are part of which can have an impact on who you are and your life. Person centered approach, empowers your to tell your story while receiving support and guidance. Treatment is individualized to your specific goals and needs. What is EMDR: The EMDR approach believes past emotionally-charged experiences are overly influencing your present emotions, sensations, and thoughts about yourself. It typically involves therapy and bilateral stimulation. Goal of EMDR: The aim is to reduce distress and negative beliefs associated with past overwhelming or traumatic experiences that are having a significant impact on our mental health. Al participar en estas 3 acciones, todos tienen la oportunidad de reflexionar sobre quiénes fueron, quiénes son y les gustaría ser, y cómo lograrlo. Las técnicas terapéuticas utilizadas incluyen EMDR, teoría de sistemas. y enfoque centrado en la persona. Ocupando la "teoría de sistemas", se reconoce que hay cantidades de systemas y ambientes de los que uno forma parte, se reconoce que estos “sistemas” pueden tener un impacto en quién eres y como te comportas. Ver la persona como un individio, se presenta la oprtunidad de contar tu historia, porque es TUYA, mientras recibes apoyo y guía. El tratamiento se individualiza según tus objetivos y necesidades.Al trabajar juntos, contarás con el apoyo de una trabajadora social con licencia clinica con más de 7 años de experiencia trabajando con niños, adolescentes y adultos de todas las edades. Las sesiones enfatisaran la importancia de reconocer el valor de la diversidad y aceptar las personas donde se encuentran en ese momento. Juntos trabajaremos en sus metas, objetivos y necesidades, en un lugar seguro libre de juicios.
