I have worked in a variety of settings, including mental and behavioral health facilities, workplaces, and my own private practice. My Masters degree is in Mental Health Counseling and my PhD is in I-O Psychology, which is the study of how people behave in organizations. I've also served as an ecumenical chaplain serving multiple religions. My specialties include dealing with trauma and anxiety, coping with workplace difficulties, relationship challenges, struggling with personal sense of meaning, finding identity, family issues, and many other related needs. My style is very warm and validating. I'll offer support and encouragement but also remind you that you are in control of our sessions and your own choices for growth. I'll offer direction and resources, but I'm incredibly non-judgmental and accepting. While I subscribe to theories like humanism, existentialism, and CBT (all pretty philosophical!), I'm still a strong proponent of what science and research can teach us about the human mind. Even if I don't get to meet you, I'm excited that you are taking this journey to grow, adapt, and succeed. If you do choose me, I look forward to getting to know you!
