Introduction

I graduated with my Masters of Clinical Social Work (MSW) from Florida State University (FSU) and later became a Florida Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I first became involved in the field of trauma in 2004 when they began volunteering for my local dual sexual assault and domestic violence certified program. My healing work has been focused on traditional holistic healing modalities that are responsive to the realities of marginalized communities. I hold space for the power of telling our stories while understanding that for some people healing needs to start not with talking but deeper, inside the body or spirit. EMDR, creative arts, community, connection to land, and movement offer ways to do this. Clients who decide to work with me should be ready to engage deeply and authentically. My approach is empathetic and requires accountability, radical honesty, and a commitment to the work of healing.
