Introduction

We all have a unique path, an unfolding story to tell, and various crossroads to navigate on our journey through this life. At times this path may be difficult; we may feel lost and unable to find our way, or change direction alone. It may be a crisis in a family or relationship, anxiety, depression, addiction, trauma, grief, loss, difficulties with work or school, or an inner sense that something is just not right. I beleive our natural state is one of joy and wellbeing but experiences in life can cause suffering and distance us from a feeling of wholeness. Trauma can create a painful sense of separation from self and from others. I take a holistic approach, based on the premise that the mind and body function as one. In additional to somatically focused psychotherapy, I also offer Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) which is a medicine-assisted modality that is changing what it means to heal, and puts your own wisdom front and center. As a medication ketamine does incredible things in the brain. It is neuroprotective and allows the brain to create new pathways and receptors. It has been shown to be a rapid antidepressant, and can bring relief for pain. There is also research showing ketamine opens a window of increased neuroplasticity, aiding in behavior change when used in combination with behavioral therapy. You can work with ketamine purely as a medication and have it administered in a medical setting without adjunct psychotherapy services, and you are likely to have positive results. However, when ketamine is worked with as a medicine it also works at the level of the heart and soul. In a psychedelic medicine framework, ketamine lifts a veil between our conscious mind and unconscious mind. In this treatment modality, I am guiding you to be in touch with your own wisdom and to trust your medicine experience to illuminate the path to healing. Essentially, we are “making visible the soul” (the root meaning of psychedelic is “mind-manifesting” or “soul-revealing”) in order to best understand the way to work toward wholeness. By working with ketamine within the context of psychotherapeutic treatment, we can harness the benefits of ketamine as both a medication and as a healing medicine. I would be honored to partner with you in your journey towards understanding and resilience and support you in the process of becoming fully, vibrantly alive.
