My work as a therapist is grounded in relational-cultural theory, which places mutually growth-fostering relationships at the center of our well-being. My therapeutic style combines building a strong therapist-client relationship with empowering you to build insight and tools to reach your goals. I work with clients to better understand the personal and social factors that can lead to disconnection– from oneself, others, community, spirituality, and the environment. This chronic disconnection is at the root of mental illness and social inequity. I am certified in Attachment and Biobehavioral Catch-up (ABC) for infants and toddlers, trained in Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), as well as Mothers and Babies program and sand tray therapy. I also have experience as a clinical supervisor in a community mental health setting. I have great respect for my clients and believe in co-creating our relationship and your treatment to best find the change you are looking for through therapy.
