If you are looking for support and solutions when life happens then I’m a good fit. I believe in creating a safe, nonjudgmental environment to foster therapeutic change. My extensive background includes treating people of all ages in areas of trauma, self-esteem, depression, anxiety, substance use, behavioral issues, disordered eating, phase of life issues, attachment issues, personality disorders, and sexual health. I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree from Northern Illinois University in 2002 and a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Lewis University in 2008. . In addition to psychotherapy services, I perform substance abuse assessments and referral for the department of transportation as a Certified SAP. I primarily use interpersonal psychodynamic and strengths-based approaches adapted to each client’s needs. My therapeutic goal is to empower individuals within the therapy room by increasing insight, self-advocacy, and implementing change that can be easily translated into daily life.
