I am a graduate student in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Northwestern University and an intern at Embrace Change Therapy. I know that we live in a world that is not structured around people who menstruate. There is no space to honor the natural fluctuations to our physical, mental, and emotional health. My approach when working with clients who live in menstruating bodies is to integrate psychoeducation and practical interventions to support you throughout your entire hormonal cycle. This fosters a proactive, rather than reactive, approach and allows for self-acceptance, healing, and skills for navigating a linear world within a cyclical body and mind. If you have felt the challenges around mental health related to your menstrual cycle, please reach out for support. I work with anxiety, depression, grief and loss, religious trauma, identity, sexuality, life transitions, and non-traditional relationships, which can all be approached from a cyclical lens.
