Introduction

I am a former middle school counselor and mom of two middle school-aged boys. I have worked with tweens, teens and their parents since 2010 and truly understand the complexities of these incredible years. I believe in a few key principles that guide my approach. Kids need to understand how their brain works. They need to understand that they have power over their thoughts and how to harness that power. Most importantly, for them to understand anything at all, they must first feel safe and heard. New ways of thinking and alternative approaches to challenging situations can provide momentum for lasting change. Humans aren’t built to struggle alone. I look forward to providing support and a framework that allows us to explore and grow together.
