Introduction

Wellness is a dynamic process in which our physical, mental, emotional/spiritual, social, and personal (our purpose in life, motivation/drive) needs are met and balanced. These components of Wellness overlap and affect one another so that if our needs are not met in one area, all of the other areas of our functioning are affected in some way. Our mental wellness influences every aspect of our well-being and daily functioning so keeping ourselves mentally healthy is of vital importance and should be a priority for each of us. Caring for our mental health needs can be challenging and, at times, can create a sense of hopelessness. In these times, we may need support meeting those challenges and that's ok. When we're in need of support and direction, mental health services can light the way. I am a licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Clinical Addiction Counselor. I have been providing counseling, psychology education, therapeutic social work services and mental health therapy services to individuals, groups, and families for twenty years. My private practice, Mellies Mental Wellness, LLC, is located in Clay Center, KS, and I offer both in-person and telehealth services. I provide individual and family therapy for people experiencing mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, stressful life events, neurodevelopmental disorders, and addiction. I utilize an integrative, holistic therapeutic approach to treatment based on the client's individual needs.
