I'm Erin, I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and therapist with 5 years experience providing direct care therapy, plus 10 years in the field. Also, 10 plus years experience as a client of therapy myself. I have had the opportunity to work with a wide range of clients, and have the most experience in trauma work, depression, anxiety, self-image and confidence, relationship and family issues, grief work, and faith issues. I also have experience working with criminal justice involved individuals, as well as victims and perpetrators of domestic violence and familial abuse. My therapy style is very relaxed and client-centered, focusing on the client's goals and what works for them. I think it's important to have an honest, relaxed, and genuine therapeutic relationship so that there is an easy place to land when discussing more difficult concerns. I tailor therapy very much to the person that I'm working with, mainly using cognitive-behavioral, ACT, dialectical-behavioral, and existential approaches in therapy. I am EMDR certified, and very comfortable working with all kinds of trauma. My favorite part of being a therapist is watching my clients really begin to trust themselves, and begin living for themselves and their values and goals, and supporting them as the world opens up for them. When I am not doing therapy, I am knitting, reading, doing cross stitch, watching spooky movies.
