As an art therapist, I offer both art therapy and talk therapy, and I prioritize collaboration and creativity as a key parts of therapy. I use an intersectional, anti-oppressive approach that empowers clients to be active contributors in their healing process and encourages self-expression. I also draw from trauma-informed, lived-experience, strengths-based, and narrative theoretical perspectives. I work with all ages, including children, teens and adults. My aim is to center and celebrate all folks through neurodivergent-affirming practices, prioritizing sensory needs, offering grounding, utilizing storytelling, and creating safe environments for creative expression. In therapy sessions, I encourage folks to show up exactly as they are, knowing they will be met with acceptance and support in our sessions together. I am trained in both art therapy and talk therapy. It is my goal to create a non-judgemental space where clients can explore the extent to which artmaking is incorporated in their healing and treatment. I am also a queer-affirming therapist and specialize in asexual spectrum identities. My work is informed by my previous experience supporting LGBTQIA+ youth as well as my own personal experiences in navigating queer identity. I am also a sex-positive clinician and have experience supporting folks exploring ethical non-monogamy and polyamory. I am a Licensed Creative Arts Therapist in New York State.
