Before transitioning to private practice, Erin served as Director for Early Childhood Mental Health, Preschool Partial Hospitalization, and Psychiatric Services. She also served as Director for Clinical Training & Education at a local community mental health agency and was instrumental in providing advanced clinical training and in implementing trauma-informed care at an agency-wide level. Currently, she is in private practice where she provides child counseling, adolescent counseling, and adult counseling; trauma treatment; and advanced clinical training to other mental health professionals, educators, and members of the community. Now in private practice, Erin is the founder of Brainwork Healing Center™, LLC, which is proud to use cutting-edge advancements in neuroscience; the latest research in psychotraumatology; and evidence-based practices; such as EMDR™, NMT™ and aspects of somatic psychotherapy; to strategically and more efficiently treat the physical, social, emotional and cognitive effects of trauma and stress. Erin uses EMDR as a means of increasing mental health and reprocessing traumatic experiences. As a Level II NMT™ Train-The-Trainer, Erin uses NMT™ concepts in session, completes NMT™ brain maps, and can provide NMT™ based training upon request. She is also trained in The Incredible Years® and utilizes aspects of cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, sand tray therapy, art therapy, play therapy and somatic psychotherapy as needed.
