Introduction

I love a good origin story; now here's mine: Born in Michigan and relocated to Arizona 20+ years ago. I was Inspired to be a counselor through my lived experience & recovery from (multiple) eating disorders, substance abuse, codependency and perfectionism. Experiencing the healing benefits of therapy, my passion for helping others was ignited thanks to the many amazing therapists along my path.  I graduated from Arizona State University with my Bachelors of Psychology & Masters of Counseling degree - Go Sun Devils! While in graduate school, I owned a coaching business & focused on helping individuals in early recovery as a coach and Certified Alcohol & Drug Addiction Counselor. Once becoming a licensed counselor, I received the professional experience and training of a lifetime working at multiple world-renowned treatment centers focused on eating disorders & co-occurring disorders. Adolescents, adults, all genders, all types of eating disorders. My approach is eclectic & individualized. From my opportunity to work at all levels of care (inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization program, and intensive outpatient program) offers an incredible variety of therapeutic tools to fit the needs of the person, at that moment, while moving them towards their goals. My framework explores roots of family dynamics, timeline of experiences, identity defining moments and needs of our selves/others while examining coping skills (helpful or not), defenses and barriers to experiencing a life with less suffering. My passion for quality and compassionate care led to my success working in the field of residential treatment facilities for eating disorders. Starting my career as a primary therapist with vertical advancements to lead therapist, program manager, clinical director and most recently executive director. Serving individuals and their families through any stage of the recovery process, is why Two Arrows Counseling & Consulting has been created! Two Arrows Counseling & Consulting specializes in additional services NOT covered by insurance such as: EMDR intensives, Safe & Sound Protocol (SSP), private workshops, customized coaching, and consultation work for private equity firms. Now that you know about me, let's talk about you!
