Hi there! I understand that starting therapy can be a challenging and uncertain process. Rest assured, I am here to provide the support and guidance you need on your journey of personal growth and transformation. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I am committed to creating a safe and inclusive space where individuals can explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I recognize the importance of embracing diversity and promoting equity within the therapeutic process. I value and celebrate the unique identities, perspectives, and backgrounds of all my clients, including those from marginalized communities. My approach is grounded in person-centered and humanistic principles. I recognize that each person has had their own unique experiences, so I strive to integrate various modalities that best meet each individual's specific needs. In addition to utilizing integrated approaches rooted in person-centered therapy, I am a trained Art Therapist. I believe that Creative Expression can serve as a "second language" in the therapeutic space, allowing individuals to work through experiences for which they may not have the words. Art Therapy encompasses a range of techniques, from using the art-making process to enhance mindfulness and coping skills, to exploring past traumas through metaphor and imagery (no 'artistic' skill needed!).
