As a therapist and yoga teacher, I believe in a holistic approach to personal growth. I use several treatment modalities so that I can tailor therapy sessions to meet client needs. I specialize in anxiety disorders, including obsessive thinking, social anxiety, and panic attacks. I am experienced in how to use mindfulness-based CBT to treat a range of other concerns like impulse control and depression. Clients and I will spend time processing past and current issues, as well as developing skills to meet short term goals. Sessions may include re-establishing client values (ACT), using metaphors or affirmations for self-regulation (DBT), and building insight into limiting subconscious beliefs that hold them back from their potential (psychodynamic therapy). By using mindfulness as a home base in therapy, my goal is to help clients integrate nonjudgmental thinking and awareness into daily life. Letting go of judgement or expectation allows us to focus on the things that really matter. If you were able to do this more often, how would things be different?
