Introduction

I believe everyone deserves to feel secure, believe in themselves and achieve their biggest goals. But how do we get there? This isn't an easy task, especially when things happen that are out of our control. For example: we don't get to choose the family we are born into, our own genetics that may leave us more vulnerable to mental health struggles or traumatic events that should have never happened but somehow did. I provide a therapeutic environment to process, feel and cope with the things that feel too heavy to hold. Along with holding space there are many coping skills that can create lasting change to begin living the life you want to lead. Luckily there are plenty of things in our life that are within our control and plenty of skills that can help us take better care of the areas we have influence over. For example: each of us is responsible for being our own best teammate. I learned this as a young athlete... If your mind isn't on your side, you've lost the competition before you've even started. This became clearer as a Division I athlete and abundantly clear as I made my way through graduate school to become a therapist. Remember: the longest relationship you have is the one you have with yourself. Secondly, it's our own responsibility to choose our teammates. Learn your limits and how to set boundaries. Easier said than done and therapy is a great way to learn these skills. Community filled with individuals who believe in you and professionals you feel connected to make all the difference. If you'd like to chat over the phone to see if we could be good teammates… I offer free 15-minute consultation calls. You can request a call today. You are also welcome to send me an email if that's more your style.
