Introduction

Youth experience many different challenges related to depression, anxiety, negative self view, unhealthy relationships, & environmental stressors. I believe that children & young adults are resilient & have the ability to grow in a safe and supportive environment. I see children, adolescents and young adults struggling with depression, anxiety and clients on the Autism Spectrum. My career has been dedicated to working with children and adolescents, where I have served them through the public school system for 6+ years. I approach counseling from a cognitive-behavioral perspective in that thoughts & actions are explored to better understand the client’s problems & to develop solutions. The majority of my work has dealt with helping children and families who are experiencing anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, self-harm and socio-economic barriers.
