Do you feel stuck and find it hard to find joy in life? We often find ourselves unsure of why we feel the way we feel and baffled about where to begin to make some changes. You aren't alone! By working together, we can find strategies to support your personal growth. I believe that therapy is not a one-size-fits-all approach and that each person’s journey is unique. Over the past 11 years, I have worked in many different mental healthcare settings leading me towards an eclectic approach to therapy. My central focus is on the therapeutic relationship paying close attention to helping you feel seen and heard. I also pull from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and solution focused therapy frameworks. I may be a good fit for you if you are looking for open, empowering conversations, accountability, and learning new techniques to work towards your goals. To provide flexibility and accommodate different preferences, I offer both in-person appointments at my office in Portsmouth and ‘walk and talk’ appointments in natural spaces around the NH Seacoast. Outdoor sessions are not exercise workouts and can be tailored to physical limitations. They allow for a change of scenery and a deeper connection with the environment as we explore your goals and challenges. It is my practice to meet with people in my office setting for the first 1-2 appointments prior to scheduling outdoor sessions. Background and Education I have a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of Montana (Missoula) and a Masters of Social Work from Augsburg College (Minneapolis, MN). I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in New Hampshire and Maine and have a history of working in collegiate, inpatient and community mental health settings.
