Introduction

Welcome! I’m glad you’re here. My name is Emily Smith and I am a licensed clinical social worker with a deep passion for supporting individuals and families through life’s ups and downs. With a strong foundation in school-based mental health and years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults, I offer a compassionate, collaborative approach to therapy. Whether you're facing anxiety, stress, a life transition, or challenges with emotional regulation, I’m here to walk alongside you with empathy and support. My goal is to create a calm, nonjudgmental space where you—or your child—can feel truly heard and supported. Together, we’ll build meaningful goals and work toward lasting, positive change. I draw on my experience in clinical assessment and intervention planning to help address emotional, behavioral, and relational concerns, always bringing a grounded, steady presence to our work. I hold both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work from Rhode Island College and am certified as a school social worker by the Rhode Island Department of Education. I'm also licensed through the RI Department of Health as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Above all, I believe that everyone deserves to feel understood, supported, and empowered—no matter their age or stage in life. If you're considering therapy for yourself or your child, I’d be honored to be part of your journey.
