Hey there, welcome to my virtual therapy space! I'm Emily Rice, here to join you on the adventure of self-exploration and growth. Do you want to share your thoughts and feelings with others but are worried they won’t understand? Is there something you want to process- trauma, life changes, work, or relationships? Do you find your mind worrying, racing, or criticizing yourself? You don't have to go through that alone, let's tackle these challenges together. I'd love to explore and make sense of those difficult thoughts and feelings so that they aren't weighing you down anymore and empower you to build coping strategies that work best for you. My areas of focus include stress, anxiety, depression, sexual abuse, emotional and/or physical abuse, trauma, and life transitions. I'm here to help sort through those feelings and provide you with tools to cope more effectively. We'll work together like a team to reach your goals. One way I help is by using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which teaches you to accept your feelings without judging them. Together, we will explore new ways of relating to your thoughts and feelings so that you can learn to be present, be open to your inner experiences, and get back to what matters to you most.
