Emily is a generalist social worker who has special interest in anxiety reduction, grief and loss, attachment, spiritual abuse, working with exposure to secondary trauma, and integrating faith into the healing work of mental and emotional health. Emily is fully trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and is a facilitator for Mending the Soul (MTS) groups. She uses a strength–based approach and integrates a variety of psychotherapy techniques in her work. Emily also works with individuals who want to integrate prayer into their emotional and mental healing. Emily earned her Bachelors of Social Work from Northern Arizona University (NAU) and her Masters of Social Work from Azusa Pacific University (APU) and has worked in the field for over 12 years in a variety of different roles. Emily is currently a Licensed Masters of Social Work (LMSW #17132) under the clinical supervision and oversight of Lynn Sorenson, LCSW (LCSW-15265).
