I received my doctoral degree from the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology at Yeshiva University in the combined School-Clinical Child Psychology Program. My undergraduate degree was obtained at Emory University, where I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BA in Psychology. I trained at many of New York City's top hospitals, including North Shore-LIJ (now Northwell Health), Bronx Children's Psychiatric Center, Montefiore Medical Center, and received specialty training in trauma assessment and treatment at the Metrowest Behavioral Health Center, a division of the nationally renowned Justice Resource Institute in Massachusetts. In my practice I treat individuals, couples and families with a wide array of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma/post-traumatic stress disorder, adjustment to life stressors, and relationship issues. Both my clinical work and research have a strong basis in attachment theory and the impact of early experiences on an individual's sense of self, their ability to identify and regulate emotions, and their relationships with others. My therapeutic approach integrates both cognitive-behavioral and psychodynamic techniques in an effort to best address each individual's specific needs and goals for therapy. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is one of the most important agents of change in therapy, and therefore strive to build a collaborative partnership based on trust, warmth, and openness to ensure that my patients feel comfortable to fully participate in the treatment process to increase the opportunity for change and healing.
