Introduction

Emily Bielski is a Licensed Associate Counselor committed to working with individuals and families who are seeking therapeutic support. Emily has provided therapy for clients across the lifespan, though she specializes in working with children and adolescents who may be struggling with emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges. Emily has more than 10 years of experience working with children in various settings including private, academic, and clinical. Emily spent four years working for a non-profit early intervention preschool and developmental kindergarten for spirited children. Her subsequent clinical roles at Total Life Counseling and Southwest Network allowed her to serve diverse populations as well as couples and an adolescent intensive outpatient group. Emily uses a trauma-informed, client-centered approach to therapy, integrating modalities based on individual needs. She often uses techniques from CBT, DBT, child-centered play therapy, and family systems. Emily believes that autonomy is important to the therapeutic process, empowering clients to make choices that fit their goals throughout the course of treatment.
