Introduction

Hi, I'm Emily. I’m a clinical social worker in Washington State. Having grown up in Portland, OR, I moved across the country in pursuit of my graduate studies, before returning to the PNW in 2020. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, traveling, photography, and cooking. From a young age, I desired a profession rooted in service to others. My journey led me to New Jersey where I completed a Master of Divinity at Princeton Theological Seminary and a Master of Social Work at Rutgers University. When I wasn’t in class, I regularly met with detainees at the nearby immigration detention center. During graduate school, I interned as an addiction counselor in Central, New Jersey, then became employed as a men’s trauma group therapist in South Jersey. Upon my return to the PNW, I pivoted to working with adolescents as a therapist at an eating disorder clinic, then as a school counselor. It is my goal as a therapist to help people find a sense of harmony and grounding in their lives. Our work together would identify your personal goals, and aim to give you a sense of balance.
