As a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, my clinical passion is working with adults who struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, mood disorders, and personality disorders. My clients tell me that my down-to-earth demeanor makes it easy to develop an effective therapeutic relationship with me. This is invaluable as research has shown the therapeutic relationship can account for as much as 85% of clinical change. I have 25 years of life experience in mindfulness and meditation. I use an integrative approach using evidence-based science and holistic based practices. I use Polyvagal Theory to help with co-regulation as an interactive process that engages the social nervous systems of both therapist and client. In addition, an Internal Family Systems (IFS) theoretical approach. IFS therapy is an evidence-based approach that has been shown to be effective for treating individuals and couples experiencing a variety of conditions and symptoms such as depression, anxiety, phobias, panic, and physical conditions, as well as improving general functioning and well-being to help clients connect and build healthier relationships. In therapy, I can help you understand how your thoughts can either increase or decrease suffering and provide you with the necessary tools to help significantly reduce feelings such as anxiety and depression. Additionally, these tools will increase your communication, assertiveness, and problem-solving skills within your personal and professional relationships as well as assist you in adjusting to new changes or stressors that may arise. I bring to therapy genuineness, creativity, and a sense of humor that makes it easy to connect and to feel safe to talk about difficult life experiences. My integrative, intuitive, and spiritual approach is also well-suited for working with individuals who desire to understand themselves on a deeper level.
