I graduated with my masters in professional counseling on December 2012, and began my internship working in an outpatient setting helping people with mental health disorders, including substance abuse, depression, anxiety, anger, domestic violence, and sexual abuse. I became fully licensed in October 2015, and continued working in that setting until February 2019, when I began working as an independent provider. I have experience with individuals of all ages, couples, and families; however, I prefer working individually with adults. I provide telehealth services, and I generally use Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy to teach clients how to change unhelpful thinking patterns. I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), which is an eight-phase psychotherapy approach that helps people recover from trauma without having to talk at length about the traumatic experience(s).
