Hi, I’m Ellie (she/her) and I’m so glad you’re here! As a counselor, I help people overcome stuck points in life - feeling stuck in a past memory or experience, feeling stuck in a depressive rut or anxiety spiral, feeling stuck in fear or overwhelm, or just feeling stuck, period. Maybe you know exactly what you want from counseling, or maybe you just want something to change. Wherever you are in your healing journey, we’ll work through things together. I work from a trauma-informed, collaborative perspective and integrate mindfulness, cognitive behavior theory, interpersonal connection work, and values exploration for a holistic healing process. I am also trained in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) and can help you work through trauma and emotional pain in a safe, supportive environment. Outside the counseling room, I’m also a cat person, new hobby collector, fiction reader, and Cincinnati ice cream enthusiast. I know from my clinical work (as well as my own mental health journey) that wellness isn’t a linear path with a clear start and finish.
