Introduction

I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in Louisiana with over 10 years of experiencing working with adults experiencing a range of struggles including depression, anxiety, psychosis, substance misuse, trauma., and difficulty coping with life transitions I have my PhD in social work from the University of Kentucky, with a focus on evidence-based practices for individuals diagnosed with serious mental illness. I offer telehealth and in-person services. The credentials of a counselor don't matter if they can't do one important thing: create a trusting, supportive, and honest relationship with their client. I use a strengths-based, trauma-informed, humanistic, cognitive-behavior approach in working with clients to help them reach their goals in life. My style tends to be a mix of cognitive-behavior therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, motivational interviewing, and acceptance/commitment therapy. Not every intervention is helpful for every client so I find it takes a combination to find what is most effective. It takes a strong individual to acknowledge they are struggling and in need of support. I believe you already have the capacity to heal and achieve great things, you just need some help uncovering that capacity. Let's work together on your journey! You can use the button above to access my schedule and request an initial appointment at a day/time that is convenient for you. I will reach out to you to confirm the appointment as well as ask a few questions to start figuring out if we will be a good fit to work together. I believe the relationship between the therapist and client is one of the strongest predictors of a positive therapeutic outcome. Your time is valuable and if I'm not the fit for you, I'll do my best to help you find a counselor who is! I look forward supporting you as you work toward greater healing and wellness!
