Elizabeth F. Moncher is a licensed clinical social worker in the Commonwealth of Virginia. She completed an M.S. in Clinical Psychology at Georgia Regents University and an MSW at the University of South Carolina. She furthered her training at the Medical College of Georgia Department of Psychiatry and at the Department of Veterans Affairs. Elizabeth lives in Alexandria with her husband and three children. The foundation of her practice is to provide a safe and welcoming place for clients to express their fears and conflicts, as well as their goals and desires. She strives to build nurturing relationships with her clients so that they can discover together how past relationships affect present circumstances and relationships. Therapy will focus on how thoughts impact feelings and behavior, while identifying how the past impacts habitual thought patterns. In collaborating with her clients, Elizabeth hopes to assist them towards finding meaning and purpose in a manner consistent with their beliefs and within a Catholic-Christian understanding of the human person.
