Hello! Thank you for taking your valuable time to review my profile page. My name is Liz Meyer and much like you life has presented different pathways during the course of my life. Born in Southern California, my path took me to Colorado in 1st grade, briefly to Washington, Wyoming and Texas, back to Northern Colorado, then ultimately landed in North Dakota. These pathways offered me opportunities to learn, understand, respect and adapt to new communities. My life path has afforded me an appreciation for both rural and urban communities. I've gained awareness that humans are humans regardless of the community we live in. As humans we face insecurities, complexities within relationships, illness, death of loved ones, and moments where life brings you to your knees with unexpected setbacks. This awareness fueled my desire to become a social worker, and offer support by blending pathways for a time, as individuals navigate their life journey. I attended the University of North Dakota where I graduated, and earned, a Minor in American Indian Studies, Minor in Chemical Dependency, Bachelor of Science in Social Work (B.S.S.W.), and Master of Social Work (M.S.W.). I am currently licensed in North Dakota as a Licensed Clinical Social Work (LCSW) and Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC).
