Introduction

Hi! My name is Elizabeth McKernan and I have been practicing as a therapist for 27 years. I'm licensed in NJ with my LPC and I also have my marriage and family therapy credentials from Pepperdine University, where I attended graduate school. I have specialized training in Trauma Focused - Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, yet I would say my therapeutic approach is eclectic and client centered. Over the course of my career I have treated a wide variety of issues including Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, PTSD, Bipolar, Relationship Concerns and those struggling with Divorce to name a few. My passion (niche) is working with victims/survivors of Narcissistic Abuse and Relationship Concerns. I would describe my style as a therapist as one who creates a safe, caring and supportive environment, with a little humor tossed in at times! I absolutely love working as a therapist and consider it an honor to help my clients begin to heal, learn new coping skills, regain their self esteem/self confidence so they can ultimately move forward to live their best lives. I look forward to meeting with you and being a part of your journey as we work together to achieve your therapeutic goals.
