Liz moved to the Rogue Valley from Northern California in 2017 to attend nursing school. She originally had intentions on returning to California upon graduation; however, she quickly fell in love with Southern Oregon and all it has to offer. Educational Background Liz started her educational journey at Butte College where she earned an Associates in Social and Behavioral Sciences. Liz earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Oregon Health and Science University, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude and received the statewide Dean’s Award. Liz continued her education at Oregon Health and Science University, earning a Doctor of Nursing Practice as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Professional Background Liz started her career in healthcare as a caretaker for medically fragile foster children. For over ten years, she cared for children with both medical and psychiatric illnesses. This experience sparked her interest in nursing, and more specifically, in psychiatry. Liz has worked as an acute care psychiatric nurse for nearly five years. While she enjoys bedside psychiatric nursing, she is excited to be transitioning to the outpatient office setting. Liz holds current licensure as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and as a Registered Nurse. Personal Interests Liz spends much of her time with family and friends. During the basketball season you can find them watching the Boston Celtics win another championship, and during football season they are busy cheering on the Seattle Seahawks. Other hobbies include gardening, puzzles, and all things relate to Halloween.
