Introduction

Hello and welcome! Starting a therapy journey can come with many emotions and sometimes worry... will the therapist be the "right fit," or someone who "gets me/us" or "who can just help?" These are common questions and I hope that learning a little bit about me and my approach is helpful as you make your decision. I have had the privilege of working in the mental health field for over 10 years, in a variety of settings, with people who have diverse experiences and needs. I have experience in supporting adults with serious mental health diagnoses; families with a child/children at-risk of out of home placement due to behavioral/mental health needs; crisis response support for both adults and families; and the outpatient mental health center setting. In all of these settings, the primary focus of my clinical approach has been helping people who live with and are recovering from trauma experiences. In addition to helping people who live with trauma experiences, I have experience in supporting folks who live with depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, personality disorder, grief/loss, life transitions, and family or couple relational problems. My approach is eclectic and trauma-informed, based on the unique needs of the person. I practice "person-centered" psychotherapy, believing that my role is to support you as you identify what you would like help with and, together, working towards what you define as meaningful change. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me and I hope we have the chance to connect and discover if working together is the right fit or you. "The good life is a process, not a state of being… It is a direction, not a destination." - Carl Rogers
