Introduction

Hi! I’m Elisabeth Emmerich, owner and therapist of Creekside Counseling. As a licensed professional clinical counselor (LPCC) and Registered Play Therapist (RPT), I strive to create a safe environment to explore and process emotions and life challenges. Feeling heard, experiencing healing and making change towards your personal goals are my top priorities. Looking for the right counselor can be challenging these days, and you’re wondering if I may be a good fit for you. The therapeutic relationship is a key element in determining how effective therapy will be and how much change can occur over time. It’s important that you feel comfortable with your therapist. I have a special interest in working with children and teens and fully believe that providing them a safe space can foster growth and change. I also greatly enjoy working with moms who are striving for more balance in their life. Parenting can be challenging at various stages, and I love coming alongside to help support the family as a whole. As a parent, you want the best for your children, and you want to make sure their therapist connects with them and can support you too. My areas of expertise include anxiety, trauma, depression, postpartum mental health, parenting concerns, relationship issues, behavioral concerns, family issues, and life transitions. Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my husband and three children, taking lots of walks with my dog, and exploring new restaurants and shops in the Twin Cities. I also own the business, Experience Motherhood, which supports mom through coaching, a weekly podcast and a self-paced course.
