Hello and welcome! I'm Elisa, a compassionate individual dedicated to making a positive impact in our world. I recently completed my Master's of Social Work at Utah Valley University, building on my lifelong passion for understanding human behavior and unique experiences. Prior to this, I earned a Bachelor's of Science in Psychology with a minor in Communication from Eastern Michigan University, where I also enjoyed participating in collegiate track and field. As a Transracial Adoptee, I bring a unique perspective on culture and family dynamics, which has deeply influenced my work. I understand the challenges parents face in supporting their children through life's experiences. My personal and professional experiences have equipped me to assist both children and their parents in navigating trauma and various mental health issues. Over the past two years, I have specialized in helping clients with substance use, sexual assault, and other traumatic experiences. In my recent role in community mental health, I supported families affected by child sexual assault, physical and interpersonal abuse, and faith transitions. I have worked with clients ranging from 4 years old to 50+ years old. My passion for social work comes from a belief in our innate ability to turn weaknesses into strengths. I believe that each of us has the power to heal ourselves from within. I am here to support and guide you as you work towards the changes you seek in your life. Hello! My name is Elisa.
