Elena Knutson is a Venezuelan clinical psychologist and an American clinical social worker (LCSW) with a master's in community clinical psychology from Catholic University, Caracas, Venezuela and a Master of Social Work from the University of Houston. She is certified in the treatment of trauma (CCTP) and is a lecturer, researcher, and writer. She has a unique human and social sensibility. Elena has helped individuals and groups who have experienced complex trauma and mental health issues in multi-ethnic communities, including immigrants and refugees.
