Introduction

I've worked in mental health for over 13 years. I have an LPC (licensed professional counselor) and an LAC (Licensed Addiction Counselor). Every day I am astonished by the strength and resilience of those I work with. My main focus is to create a brave and comfortable space for you to express your thoughts and emotions, teach skills, and help you reach YOUR goals. I have experience working with depression, anxiety, trauma, and substance abuse. I've also worked in close connection with the LGBTQ+ and HIV+ communities since 2010. I am here to listen, provide support, and aide growth! I use the modes of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) to help build skills to improve communication, to understand emotions more fully, and to connect with a sense of hope despite difficult circumstances. I use EMDR to help people reprocess trauma that’s impacting their ability to move forward and manage addiction or substance misuse. No matter what mode I use, ultimately, I focus on connecting with the person to validate their experience, explore and reveal their unique strengths, to build skills, and feel hope.
