Lainey is a Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in working with adults, adolescents, and families who are struggling with eating disorders and co-occuring concerns. She received her Master's of Clinical Psychology from West Chester University and is working to complete coursework towards becoming a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist. She is a member of the International Association of Eating Disorders, and the Association for Size Diversity and Health wherein she engages in trainings focused on a Health At Every Size approach to body liberation for individuals of all body sizes, sexual orientations, races, genders, abilities, and backgrounds. Having recovered from an eating disorder herself, Lainey believes that everyone deserves to recover from their eating disorder and find peace within their bodies. She is committed to providing her clients with individualized care to achieve their recovery goals through using person-centered approaches. Lainey uses a variety of evidence-based treatment treatments including mindfulness practices, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, and is trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy with those who engage in trauma work. With a warm and empathetic approach, Lainey empowers individuals to challenge their eating disorder behaviors, cultivate self-compassion, and develop sustainable strategies for long-term recovery. She believes in the inherent strength of her clients and guides them toward rediscovering their authentic selves beyond the confines of their eating disorders.
