Introduction

I am a licensed mental health counselor with 8+ years experience working in a variety of settings and with diverse populations. I primarily work with adults who are struggling with depression, anxiety or simply struggling with finding their way in life. We all have many titles and roles throughout our lives and becoming a parent may be one of the most difficult roles to incorporate into our identity. Although I am experienced working with a number of mental health concerns, my passion is working with adults transitioning into parenthood, whether it be through fertility concerns, pregnancy loss, fear, traumatic birth, postpartum depression, anxiety, and/or postpartum psychosis. I hold certification in perinatal mental health and am a trained birth doula. I have partnered with many parents along their journey, helping integrate their identity with their new parent role, and I am excited to be invited along your journey. I take a trauma-informed, person-centered approach in my treatment, listening to clients with compassion and no judgement. I use cognitive behavioral therapy to teach valuable skills in reducing stress and changing problematic thought patterns. I also have specialized training in trauma-specific treatment. Clients leave the first session knowing that therapy, although difficult, is not forever. The first session is focused on learning about your concerns and your overall goals, of how you see your life being better, and coming up with a plan of how to get there. Clients often report feeling heard and like being able to leave sessions with concrete skills they can practice immediately to begin feeling some signs of relief. Are you ready to live the best version of yourself?
