People who enjoy working with me have described me as a "good question-asker", able to read them, and open-minded. Those who find success in our work together are ready to establish a path forward despite existing in a society that prioritizes individualism and profit. Whether looking for support through life's challenges or addressing harmful experiences, they are committed to the work and rest. As a non-pathologizing provider, diagnoses will only be used when required and with your permission. My approach uses a lens of humor, decolonization, Relational-cultural theory (RCT), and the AIP (Adaptive Information Processing) model. We will work on incorporating community, culture, and ability into your care so you are more successful when releasing physical and emotional tensions. There is no requirement to show up perfectly. As a person with lived experience I am willing to offer this, with your consent, as a way to normalize the human experience and shift dynamics in hierarchical systems. It also means I know addressing trauma gets fugly. Finding supportive resources will be part of our work together, because my lived experience does not translate into being an expert on your situation or your only source of information. We will work together as you challenge your comfort zones and begin to realize you can trust yourself and your experiences. If you think we could be a good match, reach out and let's taco 'bout it. If we have collaborated in the past, reach out anytime to check availability. Don't let "professional" aesthetic or photos fool you. You are the authority on how you describe yourself and your experience; not anyone else, and you are not a burden.
