Introduction

Eddie Blakes is an independent licensed therapist with a passion for helping individuals who are struggling with chemical dependency, addictions, and trauma. He believes in the power of therapy to heal deep emotional wounds and equip his patients with the tools necessary to overcome their struggles. Eddie received his Master's Degree in Addiction Counseling from Grand Canyon University in 2021. After graduation, he worked in various mental health settings, including outpatient clinics, residential treatment centers, and hospitals. Throughout his career, Eddie has focused on helping those who are dealing with addiction and trauma. He has worked with individuals struggling with substance abuse, gambling addiction, sex addiction, food addiction and other destructive behaviors. Additionally, he has experience working with survivors of trauma, including sexual assault, domestic violence, intimate partner violence, and childhood abuse. Eddie takes a holistic approach to therapy, recognizing that addiction and trauma impact every aspect of a person's life. He works with his patients to develop individualized treatment plans that address their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. Eddie has received extensive training in therapeutic modalities of (Inner Child Therapy, EMDR, TF-CBT, DBT, CBT, CPT, MI and REBT) to name a few. Eddie is a doctoral candidate at CGI.edu pursuing a Doctorates in Behavioral Health. One of Eddie's core beliefs is that every person has the capacity for change and growth. He understands that the road to recovery isn't always easy, but he is committed to helping his patients navigate the challenges they may face.
